There are numerous hospital departments, such as operating rooms, ICUs, B-ultrasound rooms, laboratories, and so on. It is impossible to configure a single UPS power supply for so many devices. Based on past experience, hospitals generally configure UPS power supply for a certain department based on risk level and electricity requirements. In the first article, we briefly introduce the configuration of UPS power supply in B-ultrasound rooms.
Firstly, it depends on whether the UPS host can adapt to the power grid environment. The performance indicators to be examined include the allowable range of input voltage variation, input power factor, and UPS bidirectional resistance. When the allowable range of input voltage is small, it will cause the UPS to frequently enter the battery powered state; When the input power factor is low, it means that there is a large nonlinear current component in the input, which not only damages the environment but also leads to the expansion of power supply equipment and transmission capacity configuration, wasting electrical energy; The anti-interference performance includes the ability to suppress the interference caused by various clutter in the power grid.
Secondly, when looking at the adaptability of UPS to various loads, it does not refer to conventional indicators such as voltage stability, waveform distortion, frequency stability, dynamic response time, backup conversion time, etc. However, it should be noted whether UPS can operate normally in some special load configurations. Performance indicators to be examined include the ability to carry non-linear loads (output power factor), the ability to carry periodic impact loads (peak breaking), the ability to carry random impact loads (endurance and protection against instantaneous overload or short circuit), and the ability to carry three-phase unbalanced loads. If it is an electronic load (such as desktop computers, servers, and other devices), the UPS configuration is relatively loose. If the industrial load is inductive equipment, it is recommended to configure a power frequency UPS. If it is a high-frequency UPS, it is recommended to reserve a certain margin, that is, if the load power is 1000VA, it is recommended to configure a high-frequency UPS with a power capacity of 1500VA or above.
Then, looking at the flexibility and redundancy functions of the system configuration, when the capacity of one UPS does not meet the requirements, multiple UPS can be connected in parallel. In order to improve reliability, multiple redundant configurations can be used. This includes modular technology, multiple parallel technology, series parallel redundancy technology, bypass maintenance technology, etc., which can improve the flexibility and scalability of the power supply system Maintainability and improving reliability both have a significant impact. The Jinchi HF, PF, and MK series UPS can all meet this requirement and can be flexibly configured according to actual situations.
